Alexis Roig

General Manager

Master in Computer Science Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTECH and MBA from Ecole de Management de Normandie, Mr. Roig is a born entrepreneur and a passionate project booster, highly motivated by running challenging businesses and projects that require innovative value-added approaches.

He has lived and worked in 8 different countries managing projects involving from ITC to International Business Development. In 2010, Mr. Roig widened his multicultural background when moving to China in order to take his entrepreneurial career one step beyond.

With a large experience in higher education, innovation and R&D –having lead projects for top companies and institutions such as Segway Inc., Barcelona National Microelectronics Center (CNM), Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB)-, he decided to assemble a team and set up GlobalTaixue in order to assist overseas higher education institutions and companies committed to innovation and R&D to enter the ever-growing Chinese market as well as to help Chinese ones to go and develop abroad.

Anna Roma

Executive Director

Ms. Roma worked as a counsel in the legal department of ALTRAN Group Spain before moving to Shanghai in 2009. Since then, she has been working as a legal advisor for Spanish and Latin American companies willing to set up in China and as a business consultant for Chinese individuals and companies investing in Europe.

Aiming to pass on her professional experience in China, she co-founded GlobalTaixue as part of her endeavor to help international universities and R&D centers to develop their presence and activity in China. She now assists foreign universities and innovative companies to develop their market entry strategy in China, as well as Chinese ones to design and implement its internationalization strategy.

Ms. Roma holds a Bachelor of Laws by Universitat Pompeu Fabra and is specialized in International business and Contract law. She is a member of Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB – Il·lustre Col·legi d’Advocats de Barcelona). She is also the author of “Guía legal de inversiones en China” (China Investment Legal Guide) issued by Roca Junyent.

Joan Corona

Senior Advisor on Higher Education & Government Relations

Mr. Corona received a PhD in Economics from the University of Barcelona, from where he also obtained his degree in Economics and Business. He was awarded with the Honours Degree in 1982 and the PhD Extraordinary Award in 1984 by the same institution.

Author of 55 books and over 400 publications divulged internationally, Mr. Corona has taught and worked with numerous universities. Among them: the University of Barcelona, Complutense of Madrid, Autonoma de Madrid, Valladolid, Salamanca, La Laguna, Santiago de Compostela, Basque Country, Navarre, and UNED in Spain, and the Universities of Basel, Poitiers, Libre de Bruxelles, Saarbrücken, Cologne, Rome, Amsterdam, Berlin Technical, La Sorbonne in Paris, Bergen, Lisbon Technical, Heidelberg, Berlin, Kiel, Lumiere Lyon and Harvard. He is currently the Lord Rector of University Abat Oliba in Barcelona.

He is a member of several prestigious international organizations, which include: European Public Choice Society, European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management, International Institute of Public Finance, European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies and Associations Confederation of European Economic and Counselor Inter-American Development Bank and the Inter-Finance, College of Economists of Catalonia, Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts, Spanish Institute of Accounting and Accounts Auditing and the European Register of Tax Advisers.

Mr. Corona has participated as a consultant in various projects of the European Commission (including Erasmus, Leonardo Da Vinci and MINERVA programs), and act as one for the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank and Inter-American Investment Corporation, and for the governments of Gabon, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Egypt, Andorra, Albania, Kosovo, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Dominican Republic, Panama, Costa Rica, Vanuatu and Uruguay.

Jack Wang

International Business Development Manager

Mr. Wang has been involved in the international education field in China for the last 5 years. Born in Kunming, Yunnan province, he took his International Relations Bachelor’s Degree in Denver, USA. After his studies, he came back to China to become the International Relations Coordinator of Yunnan Normal University Business School for two years.

Before joining the team, he had been working for several years as an Executive Education Advisor for numerous Western Chambers of Commerce in China.

He is fluent in Mandarin and English and brings a wide background in career development and executive training in China.

Francesc Angelet

Senior Advisor on Chinese Market & Investment

Mr. Angelet started his career in the promotional products industry in 1983 founding Action España, which became the exclusive distributor of Pierre Cardin / MMS in Spain. Later, in 1993, he founded ITD International Trading Design, and was its General Director until 2000. During those years, Mr. Angelet started his enduring relation with China. The company outsourced the manufacturing of numerous of its product to the country and Mr. Angelet has been during more than 25 years frequently visiting China to supervise the production and study the Chinese market. He then co-founded Mid Ocean Group, of which he became the Chief Executive Officer and later on he also served as its President. The company is one of the three largest importers of promotional products in Europe. The Group has more than 600 employees worldwide, 15,000 trade partners, an annual turnover of approx. 140M Euros and a strong presence in China with 9 quality control points for its manufactured products in the region. Probably one of the pioneers in the outsourcing business with China, Mr. Angelet nowadays is also the owner of Gran Azul 10, an equity consultancy company located in Barcelona.

Rasmus D. Taun

Specialist Advisor on Innovation Management & Qualitative Research

Holding a Master in Economics by Aarhus University and a Finance MBA from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Mr. Taun is currently Board Member of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China (DCCC) Young Professionals.

Mr. Taun has been working at the Innovation Center of Denmark in Shanghai, with focus in R&D in Biopharmacy, Greentech and ITC. He has been for two years involved in the Joint Diplomatic Mission in China of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Danish Ministry for Science, Technology and Innovation. He is specialized in Economics, China Business Strategy, International Relations, Innovation Management and Qualitative Research.

He owns a large experience in consultancy on innovation, technology and R&D cooperation projects between Western and Chinese companies.
